Rose’s practice is distinguished by her skillful representation in Child in Need of Protection or Services (CHIPS) and Permanency Petitions, including complex matters such as Transfer of Custody and Termination of Parental Rights. Her criminal defense work spans a broad spectrum of cases, ensuring clients receive thorough and compassionate advocacy.

In Family Law, Rose guides clients through divorce, child support, custody disputes, non-marital property division, spousal maintenance, and Orders for Protection, always striving to achieve outcomes tailored to each family’s unique needs. She also provides immigration services and select civil legal work, customizing her approach to the specifics of every case.

In 2015, Rose began her career as a crime victims advocate and soon after as a prosecutor, gaining firsthand experience in supporting victims and upholding justice. Her legal journey started as an assistant county attorney in Mahnomen County, followed by prosecutor roles in Otter Tail and Becker counties. In 2020, Rose transitioned to a Judicial law clerk position during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she deepened her knowledge of civil and family law while working on high-stakes civil litigation, including cases with claims exceeding $3 million, and acquired knowledge about how judges evaluate and resolve cases.

In 2022, Rose joined the public defender’s office, initially serving on the felony team and defending clients against serious charges such as attempted murder, aggravated robbery, domestic assault, and criminal sexual conduct. Her commitment to justice led her to the juvenile delinquency team in 2023, where she represented youth facing delinquency charges and adult certification proceedings.

Later that year, Rose teamed up with Mehdi Abedi and Brenda Sletten-Abedi to co-found Abedi Hanson Sletten, PLLC. Together, they deliver comprehensive legal services across family, criminal, delinquency, civil, child protection, and immigration law.
